Paintings are supplied unframed.
However, they will come mounted, ready for you to frame.

Ordering a commissioned painting or drawing is easy.

Payments - A deposit of 30% is required with your order and the remaining balance is payable before the finished portrait is dispatched to you.
Payments can be made by cheque (subject to clearance) or with Paypal.

Shipping - Paintings & drawings are supplied ready mounted and unframed.
For all UK destinations, Paintings and Drawings will be despatched via the Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day service.
For all other destinations, Paintings & Drawings will be shipped by the Royal Mail Signed for service.

Reference photos - I work from photographs, therefore, it is essential that the photo(s) you provide will be clear, sharp and a good representation of your pet, animal or subject.

Digital photos are preferred as these can easily be emailed to me, however, if you only have pictures on photographic paper then this is not a problem as you can simply post these to me via recorded delivery.
Your photos will be returned to you with your finished Painting or drawing.

If the painting is for a beloved pet which has sadly passed away, choose the best photos you have and I will do my best to create a portrait for you.

Materials used

I take great pride in my artwork, therefore, I will only use top quality art materials to ensure your portrait will last for many years to come.

Pastels - Rembrandt, Sennelier and Faber Castell Soft Pastels and finally Faber Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils.

Graphite - Staedtler Mars Lumograph, Staedtler Mars Technico 788C Clutch Pencils & leads and Faber-Castell TK9400 clutch pencils & leads

Papers
For Pastel - My preferred paper at the moment is Pastelmat by Clairfontaine. Pastelmat has a surface which feels a bit like suede, it can hold many layers of pastel which enables me to build up the colours and details to bring the portrait to life.
Velour Paper by Hahnemühle is another favourite of mine, it has a lovely velvet surface which gives a lovely soft appearance to the animals fur or feathers.

For Graphite - I currenty use Mellotex 200gsm smooth brilliant white for my graphite work

Because these are collectable items they are normally sold un-mounted, however, if you would prefer to receive yours mounted, there will be an extra cost of £5.00.
